When I think of southern weddings, I imagine trees dripping with spanish moss, lots of homemade goodies, sweet tea and the fragrance of gardenias in the air. Our southern fairy tale wedding inspiration board starts with an adorable couple under a sweeping willow tree with a beautiful bouquet. Don’t they just look so relaxed and sweet on each other?
Our first inspiration is pink, homemade ice cream as favors! I don’t know about you, but I would just die from cuteness overload if someone handed me one of these! The save the date tags help set the rustic theme for your guests and are a great way for them to “tag” the date on their fridge. 🙂 Don’t you love all the rustic signs that are being created at weddings now? I love this one in particular because it’s both rustic and elegant at the same time. So love the prettiness of the monogram! Another great bouquet idea includes daisies, baby’s breath, ferns and more, adding color and texture. Perfect for the bride and/or bridesmaids! Lastly, no southern affair should be without sweet tea. Now I will admit, that I have never had sweet tea from the south. Gasp! I know, right? How old am I? Next time I find myself driving down south (which might be awhile), I will be sure to stop and try it. I’m told it is an experience, and that I have not lived until I’ve had southern sweet tea.
So, am I really missing out? Can I make southern sweet tea at home? Calling all southern belles, do you have a recipe you can share?
