What a beautiful month of August we are having this year! You, too? 🙂 It’s still technically summer, but the cool nights have us thinking a little on the fall side but also of ocean breezes on our New England coast. Our wedding inspiration board today reminds me of just that. A rustic, seaside, late summer wedding.
Colors: Midnight Blue, Carnation Pink, Baby Blue, Driftwood
One thing that abounds in New England is rusty (ahem…rustic) vintage trucks and they make the perfect background for a bride and groom portrait. Much of that rust-icness is due to the rough winters where sea, salt, wind and sand can really do a number on our vehicles and homes. But we are resilient and have figured out how to make the best of it 🙂 Like this gorgeous seaside venue with the perfect weathered siding–love! For a little modern twist to our wedding inspiration, we loved this really cool idea for a wedding invitation. Plexiglass – who’d have thunk?! I loved the sweet sentiment on the chalkboard and the striped shoes are a nod to my ever loving preppy heart. A cute flower girl with a pretty floral crown and coordinating dress is always a must-have detail at any wedding.
Hope you are all enjoying this gorgeous (August) summer!
