It’s no secret around here that I love to cook!! And I’m always pinning new recipes to try!! I’ve had a few fails of late that either didn’t look the same or didn’t taste very good. (Sadly, not all recipes are winners.) Which is why I thought I would share some of our favorite food blogs and a few of the recipes we simply can’t get enough of!! (I will admit, however, that I take a few liberties when it comes to the amount of garlic in ALL recipes. I just love it!! Can’t get enough of it!! I even eat pickled garlic cloves. Pop ’em like candy! Much to the dismay of my family…)
One of my very favorite food blogs is Damn Delicious!! (Oh, how I LOVE her food styling and photography!! *insert hearts for eyes emoji*) One of our favorite weeknight recipes is this spaghetti carbonara. I’d never made carbonara before this and it comes out perfectly every single time!! (I use gluten free pasta by the way and it’s just as delicious!!)
Next up is Foodie Crush!! This slow cooker baked oatmeal with bananas and nuts became a favorite in our house this past winter!! It’s super easy, really yummy, and makes A TON!!! It’s perfect on cold, snowy mornings, and a great “breakfast at your desk” option. (I did eliminate the nuts and traded out the bananas and raisins for apples and dried cranberries to accommodate for our food allergies, likes, and dislikes. It’s been nothing short of delicious!!)
Another favorite is Half Baked Harvest!! Tieghan cracks me up with her crazy long and ridiculously awesome titles for her recipes!! And this cheesy fontina caramelized onion chorizo spinach artichoke pizza (see?) is so darn good (even on a gluten free crust)!! Using caramelized onions and fontina cheese has opened a whole new world of possibilities for me. They’ll probably be on every pizza I make from now until… forever, I think.
Up next is Julia’s Album!! I’m always striving to ramp up the health factor in my recipes and use more fresh vegetables when I cook; so when I came across this butternut squash and spinach lasagna recipe, I knew I had to try it!! And o-m-gee is it GOOD!! It’s a little time consuming (as most lasagnas are), but soooooo worth it!! (We make it gluten free and it’s just as good!!)
Rounding out my list of favorite food blogs is Pinch of Yum!! I just love Lindsay and Bjork!! I hang out on their blog a lot. Like everyday. You could say I’m a bit of a Pinch of Yum groupie!! 😉 This toasted bread and parmesan kale salad quickly became my new favorite alternative to regular, everyday salads. It’s so fresh and tasty!!
I’m constantly changing up my menu plan as new recipes come across my feed. What are some of your favorite food blogs and recipes you’re loving lately??
